Drive Thru
Trunk-or-treat

Date: Thursday, October 28
Time: 6-6:45pm (A-L) 7-7:45 (M-Z)
Who: Creekside students and their families (this event is not open to the public)
Where: Creekside Parking Lot
THINGS TO KNOW AND CONSIDER
When: Friday, October 18, 2019. For the safety of all participants, gates will open from 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm for those decorating trunks and/or tables to pass out candy. The actual “trick-or-treating” will begin at 6:30 pm and end at 8 pm. Please do not arrive early, unless you are setting up a space to pass out candy. Gates will not re-open and cars will not be permitted to leave until 8p when the event has ended. If it rains, the event is rescheduled for Wednesday, October 23.
Where: This festive event will take place in Creekside’s parking lot. Cars and tables will be set up in an organized way to allow a safe space for kids to “trick-or-treat”. Please note: You must (1) reserve a parking space - decorate a trunk or (2) reserve a chair/table space (bring your own chairs and/or tables) or (3) bring a bag of candy per child in attendance in order to participate. Please see the attached registration form.
Who: This event is open to all current Creekside students, their families, and staff. However, please note that all children must be accompanied by TWO adults. One adult to escort the children through the “trick-or-treating” and another to pass out the goodies! In order to keep things fair, even families that are not doing a trunk or table, but are instead bringing candy, must bring two adults. Feel free to team up with another family to ensure all groups have two adults (please only submit one registration form per teamed up group).
Parking: The only parking on premises will be for those hosting a trunk or table. All others must park at the old Beckett Kroger where a shuttle bus will transport you to the trick-or-treat entrance once the event begins. Shuttle service will begin at 6:15.
Registration: You must register in advance in order to participate. This includes those hosting a trunk or table and those participating through bringing one bag of candy per child participant (we will gladly accept more). This is necessary to ensure that we have enough goodies for everyone. REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS: October 9th. Drop-ins will NOT be permitted to participate; each child will need a ticket to be admitted into the event.
Dinner: You will have the opportunity to order and pay for cheese or pepperoni pizza ahead of time. Raymond's Pizza will not be available for sale the night of the event. Pizza will be available for pick up beginning at 5:30 pm when gates open to begin setting up your space. We do not recommend purchasing pizza if you are not hosting a trunk or table.
Candy: This is the big question. Please have approximately 800 pieces of candy if you are hosting a trunk or table. While this is our first year, based on information from the other local schools that have a trunk-or-treat, it’s always an event with an awesome turnout. If you are coming as a participant only, you must bring a bag of candy per child in attendance.
Contest: Of course, we want to recognize your creative efforts! Trunk Judging will take place throughout the evening and will be announced by Mrs. Pavlinac at 7:45p!
Other: We will have music playing and the playground will be open for kids that want to play when they are done trick-or-treating. Restrooms will be available as well.
If interested in participating please complete the Trunk-Or-Treat registration form and return to Creekside by October 9th. This form includes the sign up information to preorder Raymond's Pizza for the event.
